SEAL PROTESTORS ARRESTED
Two PETA protestors, holding the sign: "Canada's Shame: End the Seal Slaughter" and chanting, "Ban the hunt," were arrested and charged with trespassing for disrupting the Fisheries Council of Canada fall conference in Charlottetown. PETA protested the national conference because the Fisheries Department oversees the controversial annual East Coast seal slaughter.>more

PETA BANNER BANNED AT CITY HALL
PETA is willing to pay big bucks to the city of Calgary to hang its campaign material that reads, "Time to End the Seal Slaughter." Ashley Byrne, spokeswoman, said PETA wants to help city hall generate some income following news reports that Calgary is scrambling for millions of dollars due to shortfall caused by the recession. >more

SINGER PINK, A PETA SPOKESWOMAN, CHEERS MICHELLE OBAMA
Entertainer Pink brought her Funhouse Tour to the Washington area last night, but it was her advocacy for PETA and Michelle Obama's animal-friendly attitude that that won her cheers from the local crowd. PAMELA ANDERSON'S BANNED PETA STRIPPING AD (VIDEO)
PETA is known for its outrageous videos and shocking ads, and they've recently released a new airport security-themed video with Pamela Andersen that has some squirming. The New York Post reports that the CNN Airport Network has refused to run the ad as planned at three New York-area airports, citing concerns that children would see it. NIA LONG GETS NAKED FOR PETA
PETA continues to get sexy celebrities to drop trough for its anti-fur campaign. Actress Nia Long is the latest to join the animal-loving organization's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign, posing suggestively in a subway car. "There's no difference, in my opinion, [between fur and] slavery or the Holocaust," Long said.
