i think that using Prada ect is the closest you can get to cruelty free in high fashion sense because remember, the world does not run the way it should so there isnt really such thing as 100% cruelty free in high fashion and anyway isnt using non animal tested fragrances better than using ones that are!

I've been using Antonio Banderas cologne for years and love them. Glad to read this and know it's cruelty free :)

This is great news although I do agree that if a company uses fur in their fashion then you shouldn't buy from them anyway. I had been planning to go for more natural fragrances once my perfumes all run out as i thought they would all be tested on animals and i got most of them before i got into animal rights but i'm not fussed about synthetics i cant afford to only buy natural everything and dont have time to learn to make my own cleaning products and stuff lol. someone above mentions VO5. as far as i know although they themselves dont test they are owned by a company who do and so should not be used.

I love the Antonio Banderas perfume range, but have my doubts about the others. Most of them use fur in their fashion line. I think a company like PETA would have taken them off their list just because of the fact that these companies support the very cruel fur industry.

For an item to be cruelty free it needs to be free from any animal product AND not tested on animals.

I believe that using essential oils and products containing them is best. I also agree that if you choose to purchase and use synthetic products, educate yourself on the ingredients and the company. Knowledge is power and the more you know, the better.

thanks Peta for pursuing companies,labs etc. not to test on animals.I only buy products who are cruelty-free.I use VO5 shampoo and conditioner and I intend to use Puig products and support this company because they spare innocent animals. thanks

I LIKE GOOD FRAGANCES...BUT I L O V E THOSE WHO ARE NOT JUST SOFISTICATE BUT RESPECTFUL FOR LIFE!!!!! ESPECIALLY INNOCENT LIVES LIKE ANIMALS...I WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA IF PETA'S CATALOG HAD THESE SPECTACULAR FRAGANCES TO BUY! THANKS PETA FOR CARING THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES!!!

As a compassionate consumer, I have been so torn on the the whole Prada fragrance issue. While I do understand that it is cruelty-free in one aspect(as in not tested on animals-BRAVO BTW) Prada as a company is definately NOT...they very much use FUR in their clothing line! I have sniffed perfumed ads in magazines and adore the Prada Infusion 'D Iris scent...but very unsure buying from Prada sits well w/ me...perhaps purchasing a bottle from an UNauthorized retailer is the wtg?!

Yves Rocher claims they do no animal testing, & no animal ingredients. They are a French company.
