December Campaign Action: Go Cruelty-Free

Dear Activist,

Without realizing it, you could be supporting cruelty to animals through the products that you buy. Every year, millions of animals suffer and die in painful tests to determine the "safety" of cosmetics and household products. While animal tests are cruel, outdated, crude, and unreliable, there are better testing methods—non-animal tests that are cheaper, faster, and more reliable for ensuring human safety. Find out which products are tested on animals and which are manufactured without cruelty—then, clean house!

  • Identify the Culprits
Click here for a free list of companies (including addresses and phone numbers) that do and that don't test on animals.
  • Send Them Back!
If you find products manufactured by cruel companies in your cupboards, send them back with a letter and call companies to explain that you won’t buy their products again until they declare a permanent ban on animal testing. They’ll know that they’ve lost business thanks to their cruel tests. See the “PETA Guide to Letter-Writing” for more tips on writing effective letters.
  • Buy Only Cruelty-Free Products
Carry PETA’s free pocket shopping guide in your wallet to make cruelty-free shopping a cinch.

Thank you for all that you do for animals. They truly need you!

For all animals,
