TELUS Bans the Use of Nonhuman Primates in Its Future Ads

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of PETA, TELUS, Canada's third-largest telecom service provider, agreed to ban the use of nonhuman primates in its future ads. After doing so, TELUS also revised its advertising code of conduct to formally require that it won't film animal "actors" in a studio setting but rather only animals undisturbed in their habitats at accredited zoos and sanctuaries.

Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights? Read more.
