Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President

Position Objective:

To coordinate a variety of projects for several departments and provide support to the executive vice president

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Executive Vice President

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Independently coordinate special online promotions and marketing projects
  • Coordinate various Web campaigns and projects, including coordinating content development for major Web site revamps
  • Perform independent research and analysis related to a variety of PETA programs and campaigns
  • Draft and edit letters to corporations and members and respond to various inquiries, as needed
  • Organize interdepartmental meetings on various topics, take notes, and follow up on progress
  • Perform limited administrative functions, including processing monthly expense reports, compiling monthly staff meeting presentations, and other administrative duties, as needed
  • Assist other departments with various projects, as needed
  • Represent the organization to the general public, as needed
  • Perform any other duties or special projects assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related field or several years of relevant experience
  • Proven understanding of online marketing practices
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proven exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Proven strong writing and editing abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Proven thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
  • Ability to make sound judgments and work independently
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
