Investigations Coordinator

Position Objective:

To provide a wide range of support to the Cruelty Investigations Department

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Manager of Investigations  

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Research and interpret a variety of animal protection issues to further investigations
  • Work cases from beginning to end:
    • Liaise with investigators and work closely with research associates
    • Review investigators' log notes
    • View, transcribe, and edit undercover videos
    • Log undercover photos
    • Perform a variety of tasks to prepare for the public release of investigations
  • Assist with writing projects pertaining to investigations, as needed
  • Maintain and ensure functionality of the equipment used by undercover investigators, as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to make sound, independent judgments
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research and handle many issues simultaneously
  • Ability to learn new duties and responsibilities quickly
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
  • Must have a valid driver's license with three years' clean driving record
