Position Objectives:
To maintain an accurate and complete library of videos, maintain equipment, and act as a resource person for PETA staff members, activists, and the media
Term of Employment:
Full-time
Reports to:
Director of Communications and Manager of the Audio-Visual Department
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain and manage the organization's video and photo-archival system
- Independent oversight of the department's video equipment
- Ensure that AV deadlines are met
- Perform quality control for all videos
- Fulfill requests for copies of videos from PETA staff members and the media and maintain a complete inventory of same, making low-volume dubs of videos when necessary
- Monitor and tape relevant news coverage, talk shows, and documentaries
- Assist with AV video shoots
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to deal professionally with staff members and the public
- Some familiarity with industrial-grade video and photo equipment
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
- Willingness to travel when required
- Commitment to the objectives of the organization
